Caroline Blackie currently serves as the Interim Head of Medical Affairs, Vision, providing medical and scientific leadership to drive and shape innovation in this therapeutic area. Caroline’s journey with J&J began seven years ago through the acquisition of TearScience, where she served for 12 years. Since joining Vision, she has strengthened our key external relationships with global medical consensus bodies, such as the Tear Film and Ocular Surface Society and notably served on the Editorial Board of the internationally renowned Ocular Surface Journal. Caroline has authored over 50 peer reviewed publications in her career.

Caroline is board certified in medical affairs through the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs (ACMA) and has 18 years of direct patient care experience. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and has been a long-standing member of the American Optometric Association, the Massachusetts Society of Optometry and the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
